All grant application requests must comply with ViroPharma policies and procedures for consideration by ViroPharma.

ViroPharma’s Education Grants Program provides funding in the form of an unrestricted, educational grant to support bona-fide programs and activities which support health care provider education, advance the quality of patient care and align with ViroPharma’s therapeutic or clinical interests.

ViroPharma's Education Grant policies and procedures are compliant with applicable laws and regulations (federal and state). Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) Guidelines, AMA Guidance on Gifts to Physicians, Office of the Inspector General Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals, FDA guidance for Industry-Supported scientific and educational activities, and other applicable regulatory body guidelines.

Requests should be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the scheduled program or activity. Requests submitted less than 8 weeks prior to the scheduled program/activity or to any applicable submission deadline to which the Requestor is subject will be reviewed at the Committee’s discretion. Requests submitted less than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled program/activity or to any applicable submission deadline to which the Requestor is subject will not be reviewed by the Committee.
